The impact of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) will
become evident as the next generation of students enter
higher education. With a focus on thresholds and authentic
learning opportunities, the ACRL Framework for Information
Literacy along with the CCSS and the American Association of
School Librarians Standards for the 21st-Century Learner can
be the foundational bridge between elementary and higher
education, making it imperative that librarians work with one
another to ensure student success. Discussion of the commonalities
